Bowling green is a home rule-class city and the county seat of warren county, kentucky, united states. As of 2017, its population of 67,067 made it the third most-populous city in the state after louisville and lexington; its metropolitan area had an estimated population of 165,732; and the combined statistical area it shares with glasgow has an estimated population of 218,870. As of the census of 2010, 58,067 people and 22,735 households resided in the city. The population density was 1631.1 people per square mile. The racial makeup of the city was 75.8% white, 13.9% african american, 0.3% native american, 4.2% asian, 0.2% pacific islander, 2.16% from other races, and 2.7% from two or more races. Hispanics or latinos of any race were 6.5% of the population.
