The elevation in mobile ranges from 10 feet at the mobile regional airport. The 2010 united states census determined that there were 195,111 people residing within the city limits of mobile. Mobile is the center of Alabama’s second-largest metropolitan area, which consists of all of mobile county. Metropolitan mobile is estimated to have a population of 413,936 in 2012.
