About Salt Lake City

Salt lake city. It is one of only two major urban areas in the great basin. The world headquarters of the church of jesus christ of latter-day saints is located in salt lake city. It is the industrial banking center of the united states. Salt lake city has an area of 110.4 square miles and an average elevation of 4,327 feet. Us census bureau estimates for 2016 listed 193,744 people in salt lake city. The racial makeup of the county was 65.0% non-hispanic white, 2.5% black, 1.1% native american, 5.6% asian, 1.7% pacific islander, and 2.8% from two or more races. 21.6% of the population were hispanic or latino of any race.
