📱 How to “Go to the App Details”
- Find “Lock Now” app in your list of apps (or on home screen).
Long press the app → select “App info” or “?” - Alternatively, go to settings, Apps, search for or find “Lock Now”
🔕 Allow interrupting Do Not Disturb
- Go to settings
- Select “Notifications”
- Select “Do Not Disturb”
- Select “apps”
- Find Lock Now app
- Enable all notifications
🔔 Allow Notifications
Tested these settings with Google Pixel on Android 14 and Nokia and Galaxy on Android 13
- Go to the Lock Now app details
- Select “Permissions”
- Select “Notifications”
- This option should be toggle on
🔊 Volume for Notifications and Alarms
- Go to settings
- Select “Sound & vibrations”
- Set “Notification volume” and “Alarm volume” to max
Note: Volume settings shouldn’t affect Lock Now alerts, however some phones may behave differently. Please report any issues with sound not playing if volume is set to off
🔋 Unrestricted battery usage
Example options for Google Pixel Using Android 14:
- Go to the Lock Now app details
- Select “App battery usage”
- The option “Allow background usage” should be toggled on
- Also tap on “Allow background usage” and select “Unrestricted”
Example options for Nokia and Galaxy on Android 13:
- Go to the Lock Now app details
- Select “Battery”
- Tap the “Unrestricted” option
⚙️ Configure Notifications
Tested these settings with Google Pixel on Android 14 and Nokia and Galaxy on Android 13
- Go to the Lock Now app details
- In Notifications, ensure notifications is toggled on
- For individual notification channels, select “Alerts – Critical Alerts”
- The main setting should be toggled on
- Ensure the “Default” sound option is chosen, not the “Silent” option
