The population density was 1,846.8 inhabitants per square mile. There were 23,294 housing units at an average density of 865.0 per square mile. The racial makeup of the city was 90.0% white, 3.7% african american, 0.3% native american, 3.1% asian, 0.7% from other races, and 2.1% from two or more races.
