Us census bureau estimates for 2016 listed 193,744 people in salt lake city. The racial makeup of the county was 65.0% non-hispanic white, 2.5% black, 1.1% native american, 5.6% asian, 1.7% pacific islander, and 2.8% from two or more races. 21.6% of the population were hispanic or latino of any race.
