As of the 2017 census, its population, estimated by the united states census bureau, was 59,110, making it the 49th most populated city in florida. It is the seat of marion county and the principal city of the ocala, florida metropolitan statistical area, which had an estimated 2017 population of 354,353. Ocala is located at 291116n820750w. As of the 2010 through 2014 census, ocala was 63.3% non hispanic white, 20.4% african american, 11.7% hispanic or latino, 2.6% asian, 2% all other.
