About Newark
Newark is the most populous city in the u.s. State of new jersey and the seat of essex county. As one of the nations 73rd-most populous municipality, after being ranked 63rd in the nation in 2000. The increase in 2010 of 3,594 from the 273,546 counted in the 2000 census marked the second census in 70 years in which the city’s population had grown from the previous enumeration.
